boys' day

We had to get up early on Saturday but i had a pretty hard time. Finally i got up, got dressed quickly and with my bangs still standing straight up, ate breakfast which was fish, miso soup, salad, tea, rice i think (i didn't take a picture) and pudding. I put my makeup on and packed, then Tomo's mom showed me her pretty garden and i took a few pictures of the flowers, and a few of Tomo's car. We made it to the station in good time, and Tomo rode with me to Maibara, then back in the direction of Osaka (to visit the hen na kareshi). Tomo walked me to the train i was supposed to ride. It smelled a little but it was nice to be on a "regular" train with rows of seats instead of subway style benches. I got to Nagoya about 10:30, just as Kazuma got there to pick me up.

Michiyo's mom drove us back to her house, where Michiyo and baby Yuma met us at the door. They gave me some coffee and we sat at the table eating senbei and Koala March while we visited for a while. I got my own room in dad's office, which was a nice luxury but caused me to sleep in very late for the rest of my stay.

Mom made spaghetti for lunch, then Michiyo's older sister Chikako came with some usual Boy's Day treats and then took me out to Shiratori garden for maccha. Since it was Boy's Day there were lots of people there, and in fact they had run out of sweets when we arrived so we walked around for a bit and then came back for our tea.

Afterwards, we went to Sakae to shop around underground and had coffee under the TV Tower, then to Midland Square and up to the Promenade observation deck. This is Nagoya's big new thing. We could see pretty far, although it wasn't super clear. Then we shopped a little at Tokyu Hands and i bought some stationary. Chikako was sweet and bought me some nice scrub at Lush.

At home, we had curry rice which Kazuma made. I got full super quick, which was annoying because i wanted to eat a lot more. After my bath, the parents got home. Mom had been out to a party for her friend and then to karaoke, and Dad had been away on a golf outing. They were both in high spirits. He teased me about boys dad-style and Mom suggested i come back to Nagoya for a honeymoon (which i think is something like going to Cincinnati for a honeymoon). I slept very well.
