I worked Friday and experimented with my new present. Hannah's mom picked me up so i could drive Hannah and her sibling to the church. We had some extra time so we went to Target and ate pizza. She looks like you should not mess with her while she's eating pizza.

Laura also looks like someone you would not want to meet in a dark overflow room. Can you see her bling shining in the night?

Last week my blog was boring because my life was pretty boring; every day was the same. This week there's more to write about but i've been lazy.

I just ate my last truffle!!! Before that i ate my "jaga mayo" bun from Pastry House Hippo and the coconut cookie i bought at work. Nice dinner?

Yesterday Brianna and Hannah and i went shopping and got bubble tea and pastries. I actually didn't buy anything! (except bubble tea) I came close to buying the fair trade foot lotion from LUSH though. And i wore my tiara to youth group as commanded (though i guess i could have got out of that, since she didn't remember writing this command).

And Hannah, i think spring is the problem. Because what does a girl detective wear in the spring?? It's throwing me all off and getting me self-conscious. Maybe it's soda shop season. Spring dances and stuff.... (this may not seen to follow at all from our discussion last night but really it does...)

Today i worked. I wore this:

Just the plain purple barette though, and sort of a princess Leia hairstyle...no pumpkin...and argyle socks from the dollar section at Target. That was the hardest part to figure out because i didn't really want to wear knee socks and i don't like wearing white socks when they'll show like that, and most of my short patterned or colored socks seem to have holes in the toes. And the ones that didn't looked funny with gold shoes. I suppose i could have worn my black ones but i couldn't find them at the moment.

why is it so hard to find a belt with a bow on it? that seems like a logical thing that should be widely available. i've seen them, i just can't find one anywhere that i can buy. i think i saw one for sale in japan; i should have jumped on it. i think it was expensiveish though. i need a white one. i have several dresses that just need a belt, and i need a belt with a bow.

i did my nails today. the tips are pink and they have birds on them, and some of them have sparkly hearts added, and one has a star. they look like a Lisa Frank trapper-keeper. and they should.

i didn't do anything today except my nails, and take my stationary out of the drawer and put it in shoeboxes (one for cards and letter sets, one for stickers, tape, etc.) and then i put my bloomers in the drawer. that leaves more room for socks in the closet.

actually i slept very late today, which was stupid because i have to get up early tomorrow. i will try my best.

So today Julie drove me to church. I was sleepy and had a headache but i enjoyed the first service. Then i skipped the second one. Sunday school was fun and i got lots of crazy presents and then Jim and Jamie drove me home -- or rather, to work. I hadn't prepared very well this morning so i didn't have my big coat or my mp3 player or even gloves or even pants, actually, so the walk home was a little chilly but not too bad. I had a lot of stuff to carry and i had to get milk, too. But the sky was pretty.

At home i took a bath which was great. And although i wasn't looking forward to working Sunday, it's pretty nice to not have to work Monday!

I'm up way too late for a saturday night but i figure i won't fall asleep till later anyway so i might as well stay up and let my hair dry?

Today i only worked a usual six hour shift but it felt longer than yesterday's long 8 hour shift. Maybe i took it easier yesterday. Both nights we closed pretty much on time so that was an unexpected treat.

I got my new black shoes today, yay. I wanted to get some basic things with my Nordstrom gift card...the kinds of things that etiquette books say are worth it to get the highest quality you can afford... which incidentally may happen to be the same things i usually avoid buying or go cheap on. Actually i don't really know specifically which things those are. I didn't get my book down and look it up; maybe i should have. But anyway i decided to get shoes.

Speaking of shoes i have a pair of blue vans that i've had for several years and i've decided i want to wear as it gets springier. So i'm going to see if i can figure out an outfit around them. I found my sketchbook from Alaska where the back pages are filled with outfits i put together using clothes i hadn't worn or perhaps were about to give back to the thrift store. I would wear them to work where no one saw them except the kids who worked in the auto detail shop and then to church and then i went home and watched Frasier!

I have to work tomorrow. YUCK! It's only a few hours but working on Sundays seems like the yuckiest ever. I have no idea if that's true because i never really do it.

I got a headache today from the way i wore my hair but it looked cute.

I can't believe my AC adapter is going again. This is my third one.

So i got me a big bow. Or three.
Today i went to work and there was a show in the evening. There were a lot of people there and we were busy. It was kind of fun to be so busy. Now it's almost midnight but i'm hungry. I just ate my melon pan but i guess i need more... and did i ever finish my green juice? I can't remember. Perhaps i left it somewhere at work. Oh well.
Gramma was already in bed when i came home, but it was only 9:30 or so. She must have been tired, or there must have been nothing good on TV.

our powers as one

Although i spent too much money, it was really a very fine day. Hannah and i went to the mall, stopping at Pastry House Hippo on the way (i got melon pan and...something else. i haven't eaten either yet). At the mall we had a LUSHstravaganza, but really it has been so dry so lotion is important!! We also got a free present so that makes it better.

We got lunch/dinner instead of bubble tea, although now way after the fact bubble tea sounds pretty good... and walked around more. I bought a headband and almost got some fake nails, but that was about it.

At youth group we played what very well may be our last game of dodgeball EVER.

Where are Hannah and Brianna, you ask? Or perhaps you don't ask, knowing full well they're standing against the wall next to me, casually dodging any balls that come our way. What the world does not know is that the outcome of every dodgeball game is really in the hands of the bling girls. Our team DID win. And i also proved why it's really better if i don't participate.

Dodgeball is a hazard to firecode.

Tomorrow is back to work again. There's a show i should probably post a myspace bulletin about. I guess i'll do that now.

shoe reorganization

I was busy at work today. Not with customers, but i had a lot of various things to do. I made banana bread.

It was chilly when i walked to work, but it got really cold by later. Thankfully i had a ride home.

I had a list of enjoyable things to do when i got home, and i did some of them but mostly i am just in the mood to sit when i get home from work. Maybe tomorrow i will feel more industrious.
I did sample some more chocolates though!

Today i ate my first candy from my BEAUTIFUL box of chocolates

I chose one covered in milk chocolate with dark chocolate stripes. Inside was delicious dreamy fudgy cocoa whatever's inside truffles
The hard chocolate outside was so good...the soft chocolate inside was so good... it was all soo very delicious that i had to eat another one.

For my next chocolate i chose the little gold foil-wrapped chocolate that garnished the package.



I unwrapped it and Oh! It's a pretty little fan! I think. Isn't it cute?



I'm eating it now. It smells like dark chocolate but there is some other flavor to it...almost citrusy. I can't place it but mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

CRAB BONANZA

Saturday morning i woke up sloowwwly and took a shower and made scrambled eggs and sausage and toast (mostly for Gramma, but i ate some too). Then i was whisked off to the mall!

I was a little disappointed we were going to Briarwood instead of 12 Oaks (12 Oaks has LUSH) but the H&M at 12 Oaks doesn't sell men's clothes. And H&M was the main point of the mall trip. But it turned out fine - everyone found something, and since Briarwood is smaller i think it was less stressful and tiring. I got an umbrella, two cardigans, and a camisole. They had some cute bows to clip on your shoes, but they were shiny and i don't have any shiny black shoes. They also had a headband with a black veil attached.

When we were done at H&M we got coffee (8 oz. double whole milk latte yum tastes like Alaska) and while the drinks were being made i went into Perfumania to see if they had any Anna Sui perfume. I don't even wear perfume most of the time but i'm on a quest. And they did! Well, they had Sui Dream. It smelled very vanilla-y.

Mission accomplished, we went home for CRAB BONANZA:

Afterwards i felt like i'd filled my tummy with butter. Which i had, pretty much.
Cake was tiramisu, with a musicalcandle on the side and a variety of ice creams and presents. We both got nice books (I got Perfect Baking, it has tons of recipes and lots of lovely photos!!) and gift cards. In fact i think i'll go do some shopping-related research right now.
