DESSERT BUFFET!!!

I slept till 10:30. After breakfast (buns with cabbage and hot dogs...i can't explain but there's a photo) and Yuma's bath, Mom and i went to Osu. The stores in Osu are of these types: discount kimono and related goods, second hand shops, kids' junk stores, teenager clothes, and American western leather goods. She bought me some Japanese-style sandals, o-dango, and the elephant dress i wore today. I got a ew souveniers. Then we went to the Hilton for DESSERT BUFFET!!! Hotels abroad usually seem fancier to me (at least in Japan), and if not that, then they at least have much more useful cafes in the lobbies. But my American hotel restaurant experience is limited.

Anyway the theme was cherry festival, and everything had cherries in it somehow. THere was also a chocolate fountain. I ate one piece of tea sandwich, three dumplings, then onto the desserts. I had two plates, including baked cheese cake, rare cheese cake, a trifle, and i actually can't remember what the rest of it was called. I also had a marshmallow, a pineapple, and a few bananas dipped in the chocolate fountain, as well as a number of plain fresh cherries.

We stopped home then went out again to the 100 yen shop, a cute sewing/craft shop, then the grocery store. I had curry udon for dinner (and got it all over my shirt, trying to slurp noodles the Japanese way). Afterwards Michiyo's dad gave me a piece of wood for a present, then tried to explain how it was used as soap in Burma and made the girls' skin soft and white. Michiyo later observed that her dad had a strange shopping sense.

Wood for white skin. Hmm. No, not really a good thing, personally.
